Roadmap
Where the app is, and where it is going
Labels age badly, so they are kept blunt: Now is built and used, Next is usable but still changing shape, Later is specified or sketched, and Exploring is an idea with nothing committed behind it. When a label and the code disagree, believe the code.
Now
availableBuilt, used every day, and not expected to change shape.
- A local task listTasks, nested tags, projects and areas, and drag-and-drop ordering — in a database file you own.
- Priority that sorts itselfImportance and urgency combined with deadline pressure, so the next thing to do is at the top.
- Subtasks, blockers, and dependenciesBlocked-by chains, softer ordering hints, and tags that flow down from a parent task.
- Repeat and schedulingRecurring tasks configured in a picker, with occurrences that stay hidden until they are actually doable.
- The integrated agent paneDocked beside the list, working in the same tasks you see, with the tools it calls visible.
- Configurable model providersOpenAI-compatible providers, per-model tuning, and fallback combinations.
- Todoist two-way syncProjects map onto projects, sections onto child tags, and edits travel both ways.
- Travel checklist mini-appGive it a trip and it generates the packing list and pre-departure chores as regular tasks.
Next
previewUsable, but the design is still moving — expect the shape to change.
- GitHub issues and projects syncThe same sync surface as Todoist, mapped onto GitHub instead.
- Git-backed coding workflowRuns that work in a real checkout and produce real diffs.
- Workflow recipes settlingThe v2 model for recipes, runs, and the steps that only appear once their prerequisites are met.
Later
coming soonSpecified or sketched, not built yet.
- Message follow-ups and birthday wishesKeeping in touch with people, as tasks with a natural cadence.
- Job application trackingA pipeline rather than a list: applied, interviewing, offer, closed.
- Outside apps managing part of your listsLet another program own a section of the tree and keep it in sync.
Exploring
no promisesIdeas worth a look, with nothing committed behind them.
- Due reminders outside the appThe app already notices failures out loud; telling you a task is due while you are elsewhere is a separate, unstarted piece of work.
- A mobile companionReading and capturing tasks away from the desktop.
- Tying a tag to a directoryPoint a tag at a folder on disk, for working in plain files alongside your tasks.
- More keyboard coverageThe jump-to-task and move-to-project pickers exist; extending that to every action is open.
- Team and collaborationSharing lists and working together. The app is a personal tool today — one person, one list — so this is an open question rather than a plan.
